Paula C. Zoller Paula along with her husband, Jim, has lived in the Cashiers, NC area since 1994. They lived in Winter Haven, Florida for 24 years prior to 1994. In 1994 Zoller Hardware, Inc. was opened in Cashiers. She currently servers as the Corporation President and the manager/buyer of the gift and housewares department. Born in Sarasota, Florida, she moved to Bradenton, Florida in 1962. She completed Manatee High School in Bradenton, and her college education at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky achieving a B.A. in Elementary Education. For 2 years, Paula taught First Grade in Opelika, Alabama while her husband, Jim, completed his degree at Auburn University. Following his graduation, they began their family. They have a son, Jayson (2/22/71) and a daughter Kelly (1/23/73). Jayson is a double masters graduate of Purdue University and is currently working for Proctor and Gamble in Cinncinatti, OH. Jayson and his wife Heather have 2 children, named Zoe, and Jameson. Kelly is a graduate of the American College of Applied Arts in Atlanta. She has a degree in Fashion Merchandising and worked at Victoria's Secret in Atlanta. She later attained a Masters degree from Purdue University. On May 6th, 2000, Kelly married Richard Seagreaves. They resided in Portland, OR and both worked for Intel, Inc from 2000 - 2007. In July 2007 they moved to Bradenton, Florida. Kelly and Rich have 2 children, Zach and Josh. Paula began a Pre-School in Winter Haven in 1973 to provide her children with an Early Childhood Educational experience. Paula's Pre-school, which began in her home, grew rapidly. In 1977 she made a commitment to continue in this field, and built a school which opened with a full enrollment of 90 children. While directing and teaching full time in the school, she has also filled part-time positions as a fitness instructor, counselor, choir director, and Christian Education Director of her church. Paula has also taken graduate courses in Education as well as Counseling Psychology. Paula grew up in a retail environment (family hardware chain) and has had many years of experience working in different areas of retail throughout her high school and college years. She and her husband had purchased a share in the family business and she assisted mostly in the areas of office work, customer service, gift buying and display merchandising. Mrs. Zoller's primary focus has been her children, managing to work only when they were at school, her community involvement was church and school work areas that involved her children. She was Choir Director of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Winter Haven, Florida and Christian Education Director of the First United Methodist Church in Lake Wales, Florida. Paula sold her school in 1994. Currently she is a member of the Lake Toxaway United Methodist Church in Lake Toxaway, NC., where she is past chairwoman of the outreach committee and a member of the administrative council. She has been married to Jim since 1968 and they reside on Bear Creek Farm in Glenville, NC. |
